The Joint Leadership of the United States Congress, and the Congressional Award Board of Directors award the Horizon Award special recognition. The Horizon Award is given to individuals from the private sector who have worked in enhancing opportunities for all Americans. It also honors people who have set exemplary example for children through their achievements in their lives. Tom was an excellent player and a great friend. He loved playing with the most skilled and experienced team, and would practice hard whenever his Magnum schedule was available ..... He was patient with us all and we enjoyed the large crowds which replaced our usual small number of couples and friends for the national tourney matches. ".
