Kellie Pickler was born on June 28th, 1986 in Stanly Memorial Hospital Albemarle. Her parents are Cynthia Morton and Clyde Raymond Pickler. The time she was pregnant she was just aged 16. Pickler suffered a rough childhood due to her addiction to drugs and alcohol dependence, while her mother abandoned her at the age of 2. Morton came back to take charge for a few years, however Pickler admitted that it was not going well. "I was eating dinner with my mother and stated to her: 'I would rather die than stay in this place.' She pulled an old kitchen knife and put it on the counter. And she then told her: "Here you go." I was in the fourth grade. Naturally, I wouldn't be able to take it into consideration and it's caused me an awful amount of emotional damage," she said. The court ultimately handed Pickler to her grandparents when she turned 12 years old and Morton did not show up at the hearing. Pickler was raised by her grandparent's all through her entire life. She cites them as being the most influential individuals to influence her in the course of her life. Faye Pickler, the grandmother who took care of her, died of lung cancer in 2001. He continued to care for Pickler. Pickler received her diploma from The North Stanly High school at New London, North Carolina.
