Summer glau

The success of Firefly is partly due to the fact she had starred in Whedon's subsequent TV series, Firefly. Summer Glau's character, River Tam, was a complex character that Glau handled with ease. As Tam her character, she was forced into government experiments in which she was being trained to be the ultimate assassin. In the end, the capability of Tam to regulate her emotions was taken away from her. Glau showed off her fighting ability as well as her acting talents on Firefly. Glau could utilize her athletic abilities since she was trained to be an assassin. Summer Glau has been a ballerina since the time she was an infant. She also has studied tango and Flamenco, but her foot injury ended her dance career. Firefly was a one-off show however it was an enormous success. Whedon became so dedicated to the show that he returned two years after. While he was away, Summer Glau continued to receive some prestigious work.
